About this tool
This tool combines two of the most commonly needed timers in one page: a stopwatch for timing how long something takes, with lap splits for intervals, and a countdown timer for when you need to know when a set duration is up — no app install, no ads interrupting the display.
How to use it
- Choose Stopwatch or Timer mode.
- For Timer mode, set the hours, minutes and seconds to count down from.
- Press Start, then Pause or Reset at any time.
- In Stopwatch mode, press Lap to record a split without stopping the clock.
Frequently asked questions
Does the stopwatch show milliseconds?
Yes — the display includes tenths of a second, which is precise enough for most everyday timing while staying easy to read at a glance.
Can I keep timing if I accidentally close the tab?
No — like most browser-based timers, the stopwatch and timer only run while the page is open. Closing the tab resets it.
What happens when the countdown timer finishes?
The display stops at zero and a "Time's up!" message appears. You can set a new duration and start again right away.
