What makes a good slug
A slug is the human-readable part of a URL, like the
my-blog-post-title in example.com/blog/my-blog-post-title.
Good slugs are lowercase, use hyphens instead of spaces, and drop
punctuation and accented characters that can cause encoding issues in some
systems — this tool handles accents by converting them to their closest
plain-letter equivalent (é → e, ñ → n) rather than stripping the letter
entirely. Clean slugs are easier to read, share and are generally treated
favorably for SEO compared to a raw auto-generated ID.
