Invisible Character / Blank Text Generator

Copy an invisible or blank Unicode character below — useful for blank usernames, empty chat messages, or spacing out text on platforms that don't allow truly empty fields.

Zero-width space

Takes up no visible width — useful when a field won't accept a space but you need something between two characters.

Invisible separator

Similar to a zero-width space, often accepted where other invisible characters are filtered out.

Braille blank (visible-width space)

Renders as a small blank box with real width — good for a "blank" username or display name that needs to take up space.

Hangul filler (visible-width space)

Another visible-width blank character, useful as a fallback if the Braille blank gets rejected by a form.

About this tool

This tool is for filling in a username, message or form field with "nothing" — many platforms reject a truly empty field but will accept one of these characters, which look blank but technically aren't. Different platforms filter different invisible characters, so a few options are provided.

How to use it

  1. Pick one of the invisible or blank characters below.
  2. Click "Copy" next to it.
  3. Paste it into the username, message or field that needs to look empty.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't a regular space work for a "blank" username?

Most platforms trim leading and trailing spaces automatically, or reject a field that's only whitespace. These Unicode characters aren't recognized as regular whitespace by that trimming logic, so they survive.

Why are there multiple characters to choose from?

Different apps and websites filter different sets of invisible or unusual Unicode characters. If one doesn't work on a particular platform, try another from the list.

Will this work on every app and website?

Not guaranteed — some platforms strip all non-printable or unusual Unicode characters specifically to prevent this. It works on many popular platforms, but there's no universal guarantee.
